A lucky 20-year-old feline named Oswald was recently saved and adopted into a wonderful forever home. In addition to finding a loving family, he was treated to a long-overdue bath, leaving him feeling refreshed and content. Oswald is now purring with joy in his new home, bringing happiness to his new family. This heartwarming tale is all about the wonderful Oswald the cat!
Oswald found himself at the shelter when he was 20 years old, which is equivalent to nearly a century in human years. “He arrived at the shelter with no name and little hope,” Karyn Poplin from Kitty Adventure Rescue League told Love Meow. Karyn rescued Oswald from the shelter and brought him to her cat sanctuary, where he could finally have a place to call his own.
Even with his age, health issues, and difficulty walking, this elderly cat shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to exploring and being a typical curious feline.
“He’s such a trooper. Not only did he allow me to give him a bath, but he also devoured all the food I offered him. All he wanted in return was some chin scratches,” Karyn added.
Despite his grumpy appearance, this old kitty has a soft spot for people and isn’t afraid to voice his opinions with a meow or two!
“This little dude is a real trooper. He didn’t mind me giving him a bath, and he polished off all his food without hesitation, all he was after was some chin scratches,” shared Karyn. The affectionate orange kitty settled in close to his new owner, purring loudly after the bath.
“Despite finding walking challenging, he’s a real fighter. It doesn’t slow him down, he still manages to get in the way like mischievous kittens!” Karyn shared with Love Meow.
Now, he’s devouring his meals like a pro and thoroughly enjoying every moment of his fresh start.
“He may have a cranky, elderly gentleman expression, but he adores being around people. And boy, does he love to chat!”
Ever since Oswald settled into his new abode, he’s been purring non-stop. Karyn shared with Love Meow, “He’s making sure you feel his love.” Karyn added, “Welcome to your new home, Oswald!”
