The local authorities of civil protection arrived at the scene and successfully rescued Pétalo, a canine who suffered severe burns. The officials immediately tended to her needs, showing her extra care and attention, and even arranged for a nursing dog to take care of her puppies.
It appears that Pétalo lived on the same street where she delivered her puppies, and received excellent care and attention from Claudia Cisneros. Claudia noted that Pétalo’s condition was quite poor when she first found her, as her fur was dirty and infested with ticks.
Claudia shared on her Facebook page that a vet treated Pétalo, the dog, and the vet was hopeful that the second and first degree burns on the dog did not pose a threat to her life. The vet recommended that Pétalo stay in the hospital for 21 days to receive proper medical attention for her injuries, and it would take around three months for her to fully recover.

As per Claudia’s Pet Notes, the little pups are being taken care of by their lactating mother. They’re approximately 15 days old and have been safeguarded under civil protection alongside their mother till they’re old enough to munch on croquettes. It’s uncertain how many puppies Petal had, but two of them managed to flee the flames without any external aid. Petal was undoubtedly a courageous soul who endangered her life to ensure the safety of her offspring.
