When it comes to dog breeds, pitbulls unfortunately have a notorious reputation. Many individuals unfairly brand them as violent, hazardous and unstable creatures that are prone to exploding at any given moment.
However, such labels are nothing but baseless prejudices. If only these prejudiced individuals were given the chance to genuinely get to know a pitbull, they would quickly discover one thing above all else: their remarkable capacity for love. In fact, pitbulls are often affectionate, gentle and remarkably devoted dogs.

Lara, a Pitbull, was discovered abandoned near the Greek port of Nafplion. The person who left her not only left her in the middle of nowhere, but also tied her to a tree without any food or water. Lara was left alone and frightened, with no help from anyone. The situation was made even more tragic as locals knew that Lara was tied up in the woods, but were too scared to approach her because of her breed. It remains unknown how long Lara had been left there for. Adding to the tragedy, Lara was found to be pregnant. She gave birth to four cute puppies while she was scared and alone in the forest, unable to go anywhere.
Despite being deprived of sufficient food, Lara managed to care for her puppies for 10 days before she was discovered by her rescuers. She was left tied in the woods and no one from the village was willing to adopt or look after her. Thankfully, an animal welfare organization was alerted to her plight and came to her aid. Upon arriving at the scene, they found a malnourished and severely dehydrated Lara. However, what amazed them even more was the sight of her little ones playing around joyfully. Even though Lara was tied to a tree, she had done a fantastic job of protecting and providing for her puppies with whatever resources she could find. Her maternal instincts were truly remarkable.
Although the mother dog had tried her best, the five pups had faced many difficulties in the past ten days. Sadly, the tiniest puppy did not survive. However, the remaining four puppies were able to overcome their struggles thanks to their brave and amazing mother. The group of rescuers who saved the dogs were eventually able to locate a loving foster home where Lara and her puppies could be cared for. Linda, from The Orphan Pet organization, came to Lara’s aid and provided much-needed care for the four little puppies.
After being saved and taken in by Linda, Lara started to display signs of shyness and mistrust towards her new owner. Additionally, the mother dog stopped eating, indicating that she had been through a traumatic experience. However, as time passed, Lara eventually understood that Linda’s intentions were good, and she gradually became more at ease and settled into her new living situation.
It’s such a joy to see that the whole family is thriving now. This heartwarming tale has come to a happy conclusion, and it makes me feel so happy. Although all dog breeds have the potential to be loving and caring companions, Lara’s exceptional strength and unwavering loyalty truly set her apart from the rest.
