While on his way home from work, Rico Soegiarto witnessed a heartbreaking scene on the streets of Denpasar, Bali – a dog, partially buried in the road. This poor canine was in a desperate condition, severely undernourished, covered in wounds, and completely lacking any fur.
Despite her original Siberian Husky breed, it was nearly impossible to recognize the dog due to her pitiful condition. However, Rico’s compassion knew no bounds, and he was determined to rescue her.
Rico already had four rescue dogs waiting for him at home, but when he looked into the eyes of this suffering pup, he felt an instant connection. He decided to name her Hope, inspired by the glimmer of optimism that flickered in her bright blue eyes, even amidst her deplorable condition.
Without wasting any time, Rico quickly picked up Hope and brought her into his home, starting her incredible journey towards recovery. In order to help her grow her fur back, Rico gave Hope soothing baths with medicated products and made sure she had an abundance of nutritious food. Taking care of Hope’s health was a labor of love for Rico, a task he approached with unwavering dedication.
As time unfolded its healing wings, the transformation of Hope became increasingly evident. Her newfound confidence shone through as her once-bare skin started to be covered in a lush coat of fur. She was unrecognizable once again, but this time, it was a testament to her remarkable revival.
A year later, Hope’s metamorphosis was nothing short of extraordinary. She had transformed into a stunning, disease-free Husky, radiating with life and vitality. Rico not only rescued her from the brink but also decided to make her a cherished member of his family.
Today, Hope is living in Bali with Rico and his loved ones, embracing her “second chance” at life. It is a life filled with immense happiness and unconditional love.
