When everything hurts, love soothes. Dog walks again!
It was a typical day for the team at Animal Aid Unlimited when they received a distress call from concerned neighbors. A dog was spotted struggling to stand and appeared to be in extreme pain. When they arrived on the scene, they found a young girl with eyes expressing pure anguish.
Upon closer inspection, it was evident that the little pup was injured, but the cause of the injury was unknown. The team suspected that she had been hit by a vehicle and suffered spinal damage that caused her front legs to buckle under her. She was unable to stand and was searching for relief in a puddle of water.
The team quickly treated her for pain and placed her in a kennel for bed-rest to give her the best chance of recovering. However, it was apparent that this dog needed more than just medical attention. She needed love and affection to help her heal.
The team began to gently cuddle and comfort her, and that’s when a little light came into her eyes. They realized that for Sita, the medicine to heal her would be love. Over time, she began to show signs of improvement and could eventually walk again.
